Car Registration & Auto Tags - To register your car, bring title, current registration, proof of previously paid sales tax and insurance card to the County Clerk’s office within 15 days after moving into the state.
Driver’s License - To obtain a state driver’s license, bring your current license and Social Security card to the county Circuit Court Clerk’s office. If your name has changed, bring proof of that change. Written and eye tests are required in some cases.
Voting - New residents should register to vote 30 days prior to an election at the county clerk’s office.
